As you can tell it has been a while since I have posted. I was in a bad downswing, started to feel like nothing was going right and I started to lose interest in the game. So I took a few months off. I have started playing again, not a whole lot but playing never the less. I can say that I am playing much better than I was a few months ago.

Yesterday I entered into a tournament at the local casino. Not a big one, only 13 people showed up. I was able to make some good reads and I thought I played pretty good. I never got myself into any tight spots and after 4 hours of play, I won. I Did not make a whole lot but made 500% on my buyin.

I was only a few BI from moving up and I guess the poker gods thought it would be funny to send a downswing my way. I am down 12 BI now. I admit looking back on the hands that I lost, there were three that I lost due to tilting and trying to force some things, but the rest is the same stories that we all know to well. The fishes hitting there two outters, or calling all streets to hit the backdoor flushes. I do love those type of people but it seems that I run into them all at once. Instead of them being spread out here and there, it seems they decide to gang up on me during a given week. I think it is a conspiracy devised by the poker elite to keep me down.

Seriously, I just need to go back and study what I did right and what I did wrong and watch some vids over again.

I woke up today a thought I would get in an early morning session and I am glad I did. I had a nice guy to my right who would limp/c or even raise with ATC. Then if he did hit something he would call,  or he would chase str8 and flushes. Unfortunatley some took all his money before I had a chance. However he was nice enough to help me go up one BI in about 15 min.

Had a good run today. Was hitting a lot of my hands and getting paid for them. Went up 2BIs today. I only have 4BI to go and then I am rolled for 50NL

I think part of the reason for that was there was a few players that I got three streets of value from. They would call me down with 2nd and 3rd pair. I just figured he was the same. Payed for that lesson.

Just wanted to first of all say that I love the new site. I will try to keep this updated along with my other The Blog .

Played a little today and had a little disscusion with someone who thought that a pocket pair 7’s was 50/50 against AKo. I showed him the numbers (55% to 45%) after I ran them through pokerstove and he thought I was wrong and that I did not know what I was talking about.
