Noob working up the ranks .2/.4

PLaying online college and nfl betting and a crazy one night spurge or me just getting burned out I lost 2 bills…. I will try and reload next week. Going back to hitting the books and retraining. I did find out I am not even a break even player at 6 max at any level. I just do the dumbest plays. I cant get the whole fold thing. Takes alot for people to come back and say

Well I been doing okay getting a better feel for .05/.10 . I Lose some major hands and dollars here either getting sucked out on river with dominating hands QQ KK and even AA to a K-9 …….wow. I also have just made some horrible plays when i get pushed. Learning as I go along. I dropped probbably 8-10 buy ins counting my bad play and hitting the BJ tables………HA BIG NO NO. NEVER EVER THINK YOU CAN BEAT ONLINE CASINO. BETTER TO JUST GO ALL IN PREFLOP WITH 2-7. Played 10 tables of 10 double up and won 2 drop 80 bux. PLayed the sportbook and did quite well though winning 8 of 10 bets this week to help substain my losses. The only good thing going on is my rakeback…….going thru the roof with over 7 k played this week. I will be back to normal once i get paid. I tried .10/.20 and had decent success but had to back down to downswing. My goals for this next week is to push my account + 100 playing good poker and not giving my money away. I started the day today losing 2 buy ins but playing very well losing 2 of them in one hand to a suck out turn river full house when I had 2 pair. Vikings were playing Packers put 10 bux on that game. I decided to join a $3 dollar bounty. It Started with around 400 people. I immediately played my standard game playing quality hands. Took me a while but I started hitting some hands and we started getting about 100 out of the money. This is where my game goes to shit. I decided to play a aggressive style when i hit my hands. Closing players were around 640. I took off and with 50 players out of money I was in first place. I kept looking at the winnnings and saw that between 100th and 50th you didnt win much 3 dollars or so. I had already won like 8 bounties so I made my money back and wasnt worried about 50th place….. I wanted to win. I told my self I should atleast make it to the top 10 with my stack size. I had never got that high in a money tourny so that would be great 10th payed about 20 bux. SLowly but surely my stack size fluctuated down from first to 5th. I was alittle worried. So long story short I made it to the final table. I looked around I had a medium sized stack. I told myself the more i stay out of big hands the better off i would be. Sure enough my stack size started to twindle and about 7 players left i was close to 7th. I decided I didnt wanna be blind out with 170 K left but not to stupid because there was 2 other guys with 170 k as well….. I held on and doubled up and made it to 5th. I was really in shock mode. I checked the money again…….5th pade 65 first 282……..i was thinking wow I played great already 65 bux is alot of money…… Then I told myself the difference between 5th and 3rd is 40 dollars. I am not going to set here and play tight for 40 bux I wanted that 282. I played brilliantly playing and raising with premium hands not bluffing much and folding to huge raises (which is really the key I think) although this strategy would change. I made it final 3 stack size me in first 800k other 700 k the players who i was really fearing to my left 400k ( I knew from the start of the final table the guy to the left of me was a straight shooter he played good hands and raised them) (the guy in front of me bluffed alot with kj all ins……… he really got lucky but his play was good because you couldnt put him on a hand to save your life) I tried to stay away from his big raises and let me be the agressor. Immediately he began bullying and took the lead 880 k to my 800 k. I got stupid and decided to raise 180 and he pushes I had to fold didnt have it. Time for me to change my game I cant play tight 3 handed. I bluffed in position with good hands. When i got called and i didnt hit i folded. Then the 2 other players reraised each other the bully had 2-3 spades and the guy who i was fearing had a solid AQ hand. Bully went down and the new villian became chip leader I was estatic at this point Guarenteed 180 bux. I had never won anything…… I wanted it. PLayed tight now. Went all in and solid hand like AJ and pairs. Back and forth this guy was good for like 30 minutes our stack sizes equal then I got him dropped his stack down to 500 K i was at 1.5 M i went all in with a pair of 7’s and held of his AQ for the win.

LONG NIGHT 5 hours but I HAVE WON……………. 282 BUX sorry for all the ramble but I am estatic. I will be moving up to .5.10. nl for sure tommorrow maybe test 1 room of .10/.20

Well about 2 week ago I decided I wanted to play poker again. I Have played poker on occasion at the local casinos and did well. I have not fared so well online though. Losing 200 or so within the last year.

So 2 weeks ago I deposited 100 bux over at players. I watched lots of videos before depositing. I got set up on rakeback thru this site. I played everything., tournaments sng 6 handed even heads up. Within one weekend I had lost the entire 100 bux. Safe to say I am committed. I joined other poker websites read up went back here at poker tricks and really took notice to the videos I watched. (even though i watched some of the same videos before and lost). I kept hearing tricker telling me dont play bad hands. When marginal hands came up of course i played them like an idiot. I kept getting sucked out by all in type plays where someone hit the flush or straight and i hit top pair and I went all in. So this time I decided no more bs.

I redeposited another 100 bux played at the correct limits for by bankroll .2/.4. I started last night again. I am noticing great improvements. I gained probably 4-5 buy ins in about 4 hours of play. I noticed you really have to fold more in these limits If you dont got an all in hand DO NOT GO ALL IN. I am playing tight agressive making value bets when I know i should have the best hand. I am also not cbetting lots at these levels. I used to cbet alot of hands. Its really hard to do this because people think ur bluffing and reraise when they have a big hand. SO i decided I will cbet when i have button position and monster starting hands. You have to cbet enough though that you dont look to tight but not to much that you look like a bully. If you find that fine line you are going to make some money here. When you flop a monster and cbet it some of these idiots will push. Which makes cbetting the right spots amazing. I had one guy last  night all in me I had AK flop comes out A 4 8 dry board. I used my cbet for the Ace. He went ALL in. Turns out he had 4-5………………… I just laughed……….

Things I am doing now to help my game

1) turned off that stupid gay chat box. I get to upset when people run there mouth. I gotta stay calm and cool to make good decisions

2) Rakeback is really coming up when you grind it out. You dont gotta do alot of all in hands. Get your money in when you have the good hands though. If you dont have rakeback and your a noob beginner like myself you are losing money every session. DO NOT SIGN UP ANYWHERE UNLESS THERE IS RAKEBACK

3) VALUE BETTING……….is a must…………starting to learn the importance of it. I use to over bet pots and people would just fold. I am now getting value for my good hands. Which will be equal or more than that giant bet you wanna make on the flop.

4) .2/.4 levels     AT these levels its easy to just go all in with marginal hands because if you lose its only 4 bux  on a max buy in. DO NOT BE SUCKERED IN. There are plenty of idiots out there that will go all in when they have these marginal hands….. just keep grinding it out and they will pay you off when you have a good hand.

6) Videos    I am watching videos sometimes I have the videos up and just listen to the audio when playing. ANything I can hear that helps me out just makes me better. Watch which videos you watch also. There are alot of idiots out there who think they know poker. I like the pro videos here and do watch some of the user videos but dont put to much stock into them. You still can learn alot though even watching people who may not be the best at poker (like me). You can always learn from peoples mistakes.
