rushing rushing rushing

January 27th, 2010 by tmiby

Hi guys,

I really started to like rush poker. there is much of a controverse about it…I don’t care. I really like to play it. Sometimes even for only 10 minutes. It’s easy to start and you can stop whenever you want.

I’m running pretty good at 50NL. Played 1600hands today and I’m having a 20BB/100 winrate! I’m happy with that! ;-)

I’m actually playing 18/14…pretty tight. of course, I miss some value from stealing and outplaying. but there are always easier spots to get in. ..

Hand of the day: Because of time tells I had a feeling that this guy plans to c/r river. But then I rivered nuts and was ready to try something different! He was requesting time and calls in the last couple of seconds. :-) )) great stuff!
BB ($77.80)
UTG ($50)
MP ($40)
CO ($47.80)
Hero (Button) ($54.25)
SB ($70.05)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9, A
3 folds, Hero bets $1.75, 1 fold, BB calls $1.25

Flop: ($3.75) J, 7, K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($3.75) 4 (2 players)
BB bets $1, Hero calls $1

River: ($5.75) 10 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $51.50 (All-In), BB calls $51.50

Total pot: $108.75 | Rake: $3

Results:
Hero had 9, A (flush, Ace high).
BB had 7, 7 (three of a kind, sevens).
Outcome: Hero won $105.75

DUCY?!?

I actually had to look on google what that means…Haha! I saw it on a pst in the forum today.

For all of you, that don’t have a clue: “Do you see why?”

Haven’t been playing for 2 days. My last session ended up going down for 2 Buyins. Oh, I forgot to mention that I actually moved to 50NL. I had to change something, I was just pissed of all the bad suckout I got in my last sessions on 25NL. It maybe sounds completly wrong to move up then – but my BR was on 1100 USD. so it wasn’t a big deal. I actually moved up adn down since then. However I’m comfortable in playing 50NL. But for sure I need to improve my winrate. I’m break even for the first 5K hands on 50NL. Plus Rackeback and Bonuses…so I keep winning a little. ;-)

Played a little tourny with some friends this week. 6 handed, I was chip leader or 2nd, don’t remember. CO pushes allin with maybe 60% stack (compared to mine). I call with KKds in SB. BB folds. against his QTdd (83 to 17) I lost against Straightflush on turn….;-) But keep in mind that BTN folded 67dd…so poker cruncher in my Iphone told me that this is happening in maybe 1 hand out of 2000. WOW!

2 hands later I got it in on the CO with ATs and lost the flip against 99.

From Hero to zero in 2 hands. That’s tourney, that’s why I don’t like it!

no comment…

January 10th, 2010 by tmiby

after two days off, playing only 2 tables. actually pretty good.

But one more time: played 500 hands until now and 2.5 Buyins under EV!!!!!!!!!

there is NO F**** CHANCE to run like that!

I would be so happy to make just on blog like “easy session, plus 2 Buyins today”.

But no way!

TILT AGAIN! How the F*** can that be!

January 8th, 2010 by tmiby

THIS IS MY OFFICIAL TILT POST – I HOPE IT HELPS TO COME OVER IT! I TAKE A BREAK!

Today it was the other way around! first up for 2 Buyins (of course I never got it in pre…hard work, 1K hands, stealing, and squeezing, and ufff!).

Then played against many weak, passiv stations (50/5) an the like. Used the hole equipment…Iso raise, stealing and so on.

First, villain rivers his 2 outer in a 360BB pot. Then he calls with his OESD against my TP medium kicker (he was loose like hell, that’s why I got it in there) – he turns the straight quickly with the next card. Flopped trips get called by FD – turn brings Flush (my straight forward game was sooo obvious, but he still called….)gg!

And last but not least, how the f*** can someone slowplay aces on 25NL profitable???? maybe only against me – an maybe because I flopped TPTK.

Sometimes, I need to stay honest, I flopped good stuff and took down the small pots. In every bigger pot, I got drawn out. This is f**** rediculous! Didn’t get ANY value for my hands!

I’m done.

I’m pretty sure, later I would wish I never blogged this….However, it belongs to the game. Earlier, I would have moved up limits and spew the entire BR. Nowdays, I know when to stop – at least that works! ;-)

Feel with me or laugh your ass off ;-)

it’s just hard to grind up…

January 7th, 2010 by tmiby

Hey all,

I didn’t write any blogs the last couple of days, because my session went always the same:

I often loose 1 or 2 Buyins in the first couple of hands. There is no way I’m tilting or playing really bad…luck is just not on my side. Loosing Ak flips against QQ. Playing an overpair against a flush draw…flush hits right on turn. Those are standart situation….unfortunately standart situations where I often loose (at least right now).

Today it was kind the same. Not even played 100 hands and already running 2 Buyins under EV (see graph). the rest of the session  I was figthing my way back up with standart pots. Then got AA. 3bet pre, 3-Way – nice. One color flop, not nice. cbet gets called, I’ve a feeling he is on a FD maybe with a PP. Turn brings the 4 card flush. And I can c/f.

When I look at my stats for AA…I can’t believe that: 76 times AA, win 84%, profit plus 2.5 Buyins….

This is just rediculous! I 3/4/5 bet them every single time pre. no slowplay. Just bet bet bet (as long as the board is fine).  And as you just saw before, I can alos fold aces. And after all of this a profit of 2.5 Buyins…? Are you kidding me?

I just checked the following: I got it in pre 7 times out of 76, full stack. I lost 3 times…

Enough complained ;-) .

If you check your own stats that would be very funny to compare…

After all, BR: ~1000$ (thanks to bonus and rakeback).

Played 19K hands. Winning 2.1BB/100…

stats: 22/17/5

constantly running under ev…

December 20th, 2009 by tmiby

Long story, made short: BR 930$. Played now 11k hands at 25nl. Plus 11 buyins overall, without bonus and rake.
Had an okay session today.after going up for 2 buyins,i got it in with ak against qq.i know,it’s a flip.i flop top two! Villain rivers his 2 outer!
That really hurts…having a good session and losing it all again in a flip.
The main thing that it only goes up this slow,is my “expected value” graph.
The last 4k hands i’m running 4 buyins under ev!

I hope not to tilt….i already feel that i can manage it better nowdays.compared to a year ago.

A swingy break even session

December 15th, 2009 by tmiby

Hi all,

played for 1.5 hourse yesterday. Basically its still the same. I always have my PT3 graph (Filtered on the day) in the background running.I take small steps with going up….until I’m almost up for a Buyin. No big pots, just “doing well”. Then I come in a spot where I just get owned. And all the money has gone again.

However, I got stuck at -50USD yesterday. So I decided to change something. I cut down the tables to 2. Wanted to play really concentrated…just my best game. And because I actually belive that I could beat 50NL…I switched to 2 tables at 50NL. took me half and hour to get 1 Buyin back. No really big pots, once again, only with playing IP, stealing, squezzing….all that stuff.

One hand was pretty interesting: BTN raises to 1.75, SB fold, I’m BB with AA. I reraise to 7.00. He kinda min-4bets to 15USD. I still play straight forward…So I shoved. He then folds! Wow!

I review my entire PT3 DB at the end. played now around 8k hands. dont really know my winrate (I’m not having PT3 with me, right now). But one thing is crazy: My “All In Performance graph” looked for 5k hand pretty similar to the “money actually won” graph. Now, it’s like a scissors! Allin Performance graph, expected value, is about 4 Buyins higher than my actual winning graph…The funny thing is: This makes me happy! I’m not playing bad (Ok, I screwed up 2 or 3 big pots in the last days, that’s for sure)! But would my allin performance be “allright”, I would still be winning.

Rakeback and Bonuses keep me alive!

the good old downswings are back…

December 14th, 2009 by tmiby

During my last 1300 hands I lost about 7 Buyins…

It’s just crazy how the cards flow! I’m still not as good in manageing downswings as I would like to be.

Todays session I got AA 2 times and KK one time (played 500hands). I was actually pretty happy to get it in pre every single time – I lost ALL of them. on time against AKs (flush), one time against 99 (set) and the last time against QQ (straight..?!??!éà£)

I think my game is still ok. Since I ended todays session at 25NL “only” with -10 Bucks. My Pokertracker “All-In Performance” looks somewhat strange! made actually minus 10 dollars… should be plus ~60…

I keep playing the same game and just hope for luckier session.

BR is down on 820…still a good way up to 1250 for 50NL.

Addition: Maybe it’s just because it’s now flowing right now, but it appears like some opponents have pretty good ready on me. The play back so many times at me (3bet from blinds, C/R dry boards in raised pots,…whatever). I sometimes even have to move to another table. Hmmmm…looking forward for the next session.

Got 10 Buyins now…still grinding

December 2nd, 2009 by tmiby

In todays session I didn’t get many big hands. And because of this reason, I’m actually very happy that I’m up for 1.5 Buyins. ;-)

In total that’s now 10 Buyins at 25NL 6max. My stats seem to settle down on 21/16/4 (I’m working on the 3bet…I know).

I will write a more detailed update very soon.

3K hands on 25NL

November 29th, 2009 by tmiby

Hi all,

still in a good run. Session today were a little swingy. Had some flips and lost most of them (3 times lost with ak against underpair, but i also won with qq vs. kk…).

however, after 3000hands I’m up for almost 9 Buyins.

My goal is to win another 16 Buyins at this level and then I’m rolled enough for 50NL.

cheers
