Running so shitty

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

So my experience back with NL10 has been crazy, some sessions I can go +$70 and what not but have since disappeared and I’m back in the red at around $178 or something (just around 9 buy ins down) in BR. Running so bad, tilting, getting my ass handed to me, TPTK running into sets 3 – 4 times, standard BB stuff and what have you, some spots where I played so dodgily, getting CRaised and folding like a nit and losing equity there (though I am quite sure I am alw at the worse end of a check raise). Flopping 2 pair and running into BIGGER 2 pair. K8 vs K9 on K8 9 (FML). Or hitting set getting it all in vs runner runner fullhouse zzz those kinds of things.
This post is damn short, decided not to post any HHs up yet on this one but will be up soon as soon as I clear this week’s university assignment. I have a couple of those to do with finals coming up, looks like bankroll builder might have to take a wait.

If I go on a huge downswing one more time and hit below $150, I’ll shift back to NL5 and begin crushing there again. But until then, I do hope that I won’t have to face that shit ever again. The grind is tough, my spirit is somewhat broken (maybe being over dramatic). Some real world issues which  I won’t discuss. But I guess, if you can’t take the heat, don’t play with the fire.

I guess this is more of a letting steam off post, so please don’t blame me for this incoherent post. I do hope some of the stuff mentioned above is just normal, and is part of variance. But I think I won’t let this discourage me. Trying to break into NL25 before the month is over and at the rate it looks pretty bad. Sorry for this post, if you have it in your heart not to flame me, I’d gladly appreciate it.
Till the next post.

Alright, bout time I put up or shut up. My bankroll’s at $106.04 on stars and it’s bout time I start grinding and putting more hours and hands online. After a horrid run at STTs I’ve decided to go back to my old bread and butter, cash games.

So with about $98ish, I started firing up the 2c/5c tables and 6-tabled. After bout 2 and a halfhours and 1200+ hands in, I’m up to the $106.04. This blog is here just to keep track and so I don’t slack off.

I’m a 3rd year economics student and play poker on the occasional weekends at the local casino $2/3 blinds just for the hell of it and for pocket change. Decided to give online play another stab and hopefully turn that $100 into more than just that.

I’ll use said blog to try and just be more honest to myself and be posting up stats from PT3 and hands on this blog if anything, after playing those sessions, found that I played pretty bad in some spots, but overall I think it wasn’t that horrible, but then why be complacent and slack off and whatever nonsnese.

For all to laugh at my first attempt back at cash games, including a pretty terrible W$WSF and W$SD stats. LOL.

LOL-able stats.
